BackMaxx ("the app") helps you analyze and train your back muscles. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Your back photos are never stored on our servers. When you run a scan, the photo is transmitted securely to our analysis service, passed to an AI vision model to produce your scores, and discarded. Only the numeric results (your Back Score, per-zone scores, and a short text insight) are saved. Progress photos are stored on your device only and never leave it, except transiently during the analysis described above.
The app creates an anonymous account (a random identifier) so your scan results and subscription status can be recognized. No name, email address, or password is required or collected. Your first name, if you choose to enter it, stays on your device.
Analysis runs on Supabase (hosting) and OpenAI (AI vision — images are processed under OpenAI's API terms, which exclude API data from model training). Subscriptions are managed by Apple and RevenueCat. Analytics by PostHog (EU-hosted).
Scores and insights are visual estimates for fitness motivation only. They are not medical measurements, diagnoses, or advice.
Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your scan history and anonymous account from our servers, and your local data from the device. You can also email us at the address below.
