Terms of Use

Short, and written to be read.

· Written by the BackMaxx team

The app

BackMaxx is distributed through the Apple App Store and your use of it is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in full. The terms on this page cover the things that agreement leaves to us.

Subscriptions

BackMaxx Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered weekly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Prices vary by territory and are shown in the app before you buy; billing, refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple, not by us. See support for how to do each of those.

What BackMaxx is not

BackMaxx produces visual estimates of muscle development from a photograph, for training motivation. It is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool or a source of medical advice, and it does not measure body composition, health or fitness. Nothing it outputs should be used to make a decision about your health. If you have a health question, ask a clinician.

You train at your own risk. The plans the app generates are general training suggestions produced from the information you give it; they are not supervised coaching and they cannot account for your individual circumstances.

Your content

The photos you scan remain yours. We claim no rights over them, and we do not keep them — see the privacy policy for exactly what is and is not stored.

This website’s content

The writing on backmaxx.app, the Back Score model, the zone and muscle mappings, the difficulty and equipment tags and the coaching cues are ours. You are welcome to quote and link to them with attribution, including in an AI-generated answer that cites the source. Republishing pages wholesale is not permitted without written permission — email the address below and ask; the answer is often yes.

The movement illustrations are a separate case. They are adapted from Everkinetic via Bryl Lim’s workout-guide and remain under CC BY-SA 4.0, which means you may reuse them under those terms. The full credit chain is on the credits page.

Accuracy

We keep this site accurate and current, and it is written from the app’s own data. It is still a training resource written by a small publisher, and it may contain errors. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it.

Changes

When these terms change materially, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
