BackMaxx Support
Answers to the things that actually go wrong, and an address that a person reads.
How to reach us
BackMaxx support is handled by email at matcontact@tuta.io, usually within 48 hours, or through Settings → Send Feedback in the app. Subscriptions, refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple through your App Store account.
Contact
Email matcontact@tuta.io — replies usually land within 48 hours. You can also use Settings → Send Feedback inside the app, which sends the same place with your app version attached.
My scan says the photo can’t be read
The analysis needs to see your whole back. Work through these in order:
- Face away from the camera. The app uses the selfie camera with a five-second timer so you can turn around after tapping.
- Get your full back in frame, from the base of the neck to the waistband. Step further away rather than tilting the phone.
- Light it from the front or the side, not from behind you. A window behind you turns your back into a silhouette.
- Relax your arms at your sides. Arms raised or flexed hide the lats.
- Shirtless or a fitted tank. A loose shirt is the single most common reason a scan fails.
The full method is written up here, including where to stand and how far.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. Open Settings → Manage Subscription in the app, or go to the App Store app → your profile → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
How do I restore a purchase?
Settings → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. If Pro still does not appear, email us with the date of purchase and we will check it against RevenueCat.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are Apple’s to give, not ours. Use reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account that made the purchase.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Delete Account removes your scan history and anonymous account from our servers and clears local data from the device. It is immediate and cannot be undone. See the privacy policy for what was stored in the first place.
My scores went down
A Back Score is an estimate from a photo, so it moves with the photo. Lighting, camera distance, how relaxed your arms are and how lean you are on the day all shift it. That is why the app compares re-scans rather than treating one number as final — shoot in the same place, at the same distance, in the same light. What the score is, and what it is not.
Are the scores medical?
No. They are visual estimates for training motivation — not medical measurements, a diagnosis or advice.
Which devices does BackMaxx run on?
iPhone, iOS 26 or later. There is no iPad-optimised version, no Android version and no web version.
Frequently asked questions
Is BackMaxx free?
The app is free to download and your first scan is free. BackMaxx Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, weekly or yearly, which unlocks unlimited scans and the full plan. Current prices are shown in the app and on the App Store listing, since they vary by territory.
Is there an Android version?
No. BackMaxx is iPhone-only and needs iOS 26 or later. There is no Android app and no web version, so there is nothing to sign up for on this site.
How often should I re-scan?
Weekly. It is frequent enough that the plan can re-balance while a training block is still running, and far enough apart that day-to-day changes in lighting and leanness do not read as progress.
Do I need a gym?
No. Your plan is built from the equipment and training environment you pick during setup. 46 of the 77 exercises in the library are tagged for home training — see the home list.
